Mammogram Vs. Thermal Imaging

Linda Hayes, Certified Clinical Thermoagrapher

Hi , I’m Linda Hayes, as a Certified Clinical Thermographer, I have been using thermal imaging for early disease detection for over 20 years.

What I want to share with you now may surprise you or it may make you angry but you’ll thank God for what I have to tell you, because it may very well save your life and the lives of your loved ones.

The reality is ALL women face the threat of breast cancer. Current statistics show that one-in-eight American women will be diagnosed with the disease in her lifetime.

For over thirty years we have been told that an annual mammography examination is the key to long-term survival from breast cancer. Yet, after thirty years there has been no significant improvement in mortality.

Why? There are several reasons:

1. Mammography is NOT capable of detecting breast cancer early enough, when it can be easily treated. Generally a tumor is first detected by a mammogram when it’s about 2.5 cm (the size of a dime). At this stage it has been growing for at least 8 years.

2. One other very important piece of information we don’t hear about is that exposure to the X-Rays used in mammography is reported to actually increase the risk of developing breast cancer.

“Mammography’s so-called low-dose radiation may increase the risk of breast cancer”

— International Journal of Cancer

3. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) puts the false negative rate at 40% among women ages 40 to 49. National Institute of Health spokespeople state that mammograms miss 10% of malignant tumors in women over 50. Mammography’s error rate is unacceptable

4. Mammography’s Misleading Results: In a clinical study of 60,000 women, 70% of the tumors detected by screening mammography weren’t tumors at all. In addition to the financial and emotional strains resulting from these false positives, they may also lead to many unnecessary and invasive biopsies. In fact, biopsies in 70% to 80% of all positive mammograms do not show any presence of cancer.

The good news is Thermography gives you a fighting chance by detecting cancer in it’s earlier stages 8 to 10 years before a mammogram!

Fortunately, you have a much better option than mammography. This alternative, called Breast Thermography, is safe, accurate, and approved by the FDA.

It’s successfully used throughout the world to detect signs of breast cancer up to 10 years before the cancer is detectable using mammography – without the intense pain, errors, and exposure to harmful radiation.

Breast thermography has an average accuracy of 90%, and research shows that it can significantly improve long-term survival rates.

According to a report in the American Journal of Radiology, breast thermography has:

* 99% sensitivity
* 90% specificity
* 90 % accuracy

in detecting breast cancer in women under age 55

There is no other screening method that has as high of efficacy as breast thermography. The sensitivity for physical breast examinations (feeling for lumps) is 18%, mammography is 70% and MRI is 71%.

Why haven’t you heard of breast thermography?

If you haven’t heard of breast thermography, it’s because this proven technology has been thwarted by the multi-billion dollar American mammography industry. For over 30 years, it has conducted a successful campaign that has suppressed this life saving technology – at the expense of American women. Breast thermography’s outstanding accuracy is proven, while mammography’s screening failure and drawbacks are widely known. But, mammography is still promoted while breast thermography is discouraged. Explanation: It’s all about money!

A financial empire has developed around mammography screening. In fact, if every woman were to follow American Cancer Society’s guidelines for mammography screening, the annual revenue to the mammography industry would exceed $5 billion.

Even though experts report in the most prestigious medical journal that…

“Screening for breast cancer with mammography is unjustified…the data show that for every 1000 women screened biennially throughout 12 years, one breast-cancer death is avoided whereas the total number of deaths is increased by six…there is no reliable evidence that screening decreases breast-cancer mortality.”

– The Lancet One of the oldest most respected medical journals in the world

Reputable medical professionals have repeatedly reported in the most respected medical journals that mammography screening to detect early breast cancers is inaccurate, ineffective, and its X-rays are harmful to a woman’s health. The benefits are minimal, at best, but the hazard to women’s health is enormous. In fact, since mammography screening was introduced in the early 1970’s, the incidence of ductal carcinoma in situ has increased by 328%, 200% of which is due to mammography.

Excerpts from Summary of Studies and Reports on Thermal Imaging

– The Biomedical Handbook

“1982 FDA approved Thermography as an adjunctive Breast screening procedure. Breast Thermography has the ability to detect the first signs of a tumor that may be forming up to 10 years before other procedures can detect it.

– National Cancer Institute

“Thermography’s digital infrared imaging can detect the increase in regional breast temperatures resulting from measured blood vessel activity in both pre cancerous tissue and the area surrounding a developing breast cancer.”

– The Lancet

“Screening for breast cancer with mammography is unjustified…the data show that for every 1000 women screened biennially throughout 12 years, one breast-cancer death is avoided whereas the total number of deaths is increased by six…there is no reliable evidence that screening decreases breast-cancer mortality.”

– 2003 issue of AMA journal, American Medical News.

“There is little evidence documenting that mammography saves lives from breast cancer for premenopausal women.”

THERMAL IMAGING CAN DETECT MANY DISEASES AND DISORDERS

IN THEIR EARLY STAGES

Thermography is a non-invasive imaging technique

Thermography uses special infrared-sensitive cameras to digitally record images of the variations in surface temperature of the human body. It’s basically a specialized HDTV night vision camera used to record images of the heat patterns of the breast. The recorded images are called thermograms.

Thermography is an unsurpassed, safe and noninvasive breast cancer screening technique that can detect signs of cancer up to ten years earlier than is possible using mammography. Breast thermography is approved by the FDA for breast cancer risk assessment. The exam takes only a few minutes, and there is no touching or compression of the breast whatsoever.

Thermography is used for early detection of many diseases and disorders including:

DCIS, Breast Cancer, inflammatory breast cancer, IBC, Fibromyalgia, Periodontal Disease, Pre-Stroke, Muscular Inflammation, Diverticulitis, Heart Disease, Back Pain, leg Carpal Tunnel, Varicosities, Scoliosis, Cystic Formations, TMJ, Migraine Cause, deep vein thrombosis, reflex sympathetic dystrophy/complex regional pain syndrome, unexplained pain and much more.
